JUDGEMENT NISI GRANTED
Alleged Churchill Incident Before Mr. Justice Macrossan, In the Supreme Court, Brisbane, on Friday, judgment nisi was granted to Adina Catherine Carvolth, 4 Eastwood-street, North Ipswich, who sought a divorce from her husband, Ernest Henry Carvolth, on the grounds that he commited adultery with a woman named Ivy May Green at Churchill on November 23, 1944.
Evidence was given by plaintiff and her father, Joseph Rossow, and by Frederick Stewart Whiting, of Ipswich, private inquiry agent. Rossow and Whiting told how they visited the house at Churchill on the night of November 23, 1944, where they saw the defendant and the woman, Ivy May Green, each dressed in night attire. Mr. Dan Casey, instructed by Messrs. Casey and Williams, of Ipswich, appeared for the plaintiff.
