Eggert - Stallmann.
A very pretty wedding took place at the Aratula Lutheran Church on Saturday afternoon, the parties being Mr. Mervyn Henry Eggert, only son of Mr. and Mrs. A, Eggert, Road vale, and Miss Sylvia May Stallmann, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. Stallmann, Aratula. The church was tastefully decorated by girl friends of the bride. Rev. F. Finger officiated and Mrs. P. N. Scholl presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attractively gowned in a Parisian model of angel-skin lace, mounted on a satin slip and featuring the new Peter Pan collar. The bodice was fastened down the front with tiny crystal buttons and loops. The long sleeves, fitted at the wrist, peaked over the hand, and were also trimmed with crystal buttons. The skirt was fully flared, and formed a long train from the waistline. The lovely Brussels net veil was held in position by a dainty coronet of orange blossoms, and the bride carried a beautifully-made shower bouquet of wood-flbre roses and franglpanni, tied with white ribbons. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Grace Stallmann, who wore a blue Chantilly lace frock, fully flared with short puff sleeves, and featuring the new Peter Pan collar. She wore a veil of pale pink tulle, held in position with a coronet of pink satin flowers. She carried a bouquet of pink wood fibre dahlias and carnations. Mr. Victor Dleckman was best man. Little Miss Connis Wolter, the flower girl, was daintily dressed in buttercup georgette, trimmed with frills. She wore an armlet of buttercup wood-fibre roses. As the bride left the Church a satin horseshoe was placed on her arm by her grand-aunt. The reception was held at the home of the bride's parents, and the bride's mother received the guests (numbering about 150) wearing a frock of black crepe-de-Chine, trimmed with mastic, with hat to match. She carried a bouquet of red wood-fibre roses. The bridegroom's mother chose a black silk suede frock trimmed with white, with hat to match. She also carried a bouquet of red roses. The reception room and tables were beautifully decorated with streamers, flowers, and paper horseshoes, while over the bride and bridegroom hung a wedding bell. A feature at the bride's table was a beautiful three-tier wedding cake. Rev. F. Finger was Chairman and the usual toasts were honoured. The bride's travelling dress was of Lido blue matelasse trimmed with led and white beading. Her hat bag, and shoes matched her frock. The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a chrome clock, to the bridesmaid a gold brooch set with rubies, to the flower girl a gold chain bangle, Fix this textand to the best man a fountain pen and pencil. The bride's gift to the bridegroom was a leather travelling outfit. The bride's parents presented the young couple with a bed room suite. All the bouquets, which were of wood-fibre, were the work of the bride's mother. The honeymoon will be spent visiting Sydney and the Blue Mountains.
