Orange Blossoms.
ECKART LUTHER.
A very pretty wedding (writes our Hlillside correspondent) took place at the Hillside Lutheran Church on Wednesday, the 27th instant. The contracting parties were Miss Rosalie Helena Luther (eldest daughter of Mr. J. Luther, of Hillside), and Mr. Adolph Eckart (youngest son of Mr. A. Eckart, of Prenzlas. The marriage ceremony was performed by the Rev. M. Millat. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a beautiful gown of rich creme nervilleux silk skirt, Paris panel style, tastefully trimmed with silk-embossed medalions, the front panel being caught up with satin ribbons ; and small spray of orange blossoms; Magyar bodice, with open front of tine Brassels net, with folded reveres, ficha style, draped over the sholders from the waist, and prettily decorated with silk insertion, and satin trimming ; shaped folded silk belt with rosette of satin to match, and streamers that fell to the bottom of the skirt. A spray of orange blossoms across the breast gave a pretty finish to the bodice. She also wore a handsome gold brooch, set with rubies (the gift of the bridegroom), and carried a beautiful bouquet of white flowers and asparagus, which were tied with long silk streamers. A pretty silk embroidered tulle veil, and coronet of orange blossoms completed the costume. The bride was attended by two bridesmaids - Miss Esther Luther (sister of bride) as chief, and Miss Annie Beduhn (Hillside). Miss Esther Luther's dress was a very pretty costume of creme silk-figured zephyr, tastefully trlnmmed with silk insertion and buttons. She wore a gold brooch (the gift of the bridesgroom). Miss Annie Beduhn looked becoming in a white embroidered frock interlaced with satin ribbons. She wore a gold lace-pin (the gift, or the bridegroom). The bridesmaids slso carried handsome bouquets of roses and fern. Mr. August Luther (brother of the bride) acted as best man, and Mr. Anton Luther (also brother of bride) as groomsman. As the bridal party left the church, in the strains of Mendelssohn's "Wedding, March," played by Mr. August Luther, they were showered with rice and old boots were tlhrown after them. They then drove to the residence of the bride's parent, where the wedding breakfast was served in a large marquee erected for the purpose. The tables were prettily decorated, and on the centre of the bride's table stood a three-tier wedding cake. After the breakfast, the usual out-door games were indulged in. The bride was the recipient of many handsome and useful presents, among which were several substantial cheques. The happy couple intent spending their honeymoon in Wondai, after which they will settle down at their future home at Prenzlau.
