The death occurred on the Macleay River last week, at the age of 86 years, of Mrs. Jemima Turnbull, a former resident of Raleigh. She was daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Trees, of Commandant Hill, near, Kempsey, who were among the earliest pioneers of the Macleay. She married the late Mr. William John Turnbull, and after residing on a farm at Commandant Hill for some time moved to Raleigh. Her husband died in 1924. Mrs. Turnbull returned to the Macleay, and resided there until the time of her death.
