Mr Joseph Alford passed away at his camp at Miclere at the age of 74 years recently. He was a native of Bundamba, Ipswich, but has been in the district for 30 years. Archdeacon Robinson conducted the burial service at the Clermont, cemetery. The deceased is survived by his widow and only daughter (Mrs W. Hick, Emerald), and four grandchildren.
